As the gardens move further into spring, May brings a varied programme of exhibitions, workshops, and events, with bluebells blooming across the landscape, offering opportunities to spend time with art, landscape, and wellbeing in different ways.
Whether you’re looking to slow down, learn something new, or experience live performance, there’s something to discover throughout the month.
Exhibition
Tir ha Trig
Our current exhibition, Tir ha Trig, brings together the work of Judy Buxton and Virginia Bounds across both floors of the gallery.
Tir ha Trig (Land and Ebb) brings together paintings spanning the past 25 years. Speaking about the exhibition Judy Buxton and Virginia Bounds say: ‘As two painters, we share Australian heritage, living and painting in Cornwall as well as the complexities of straddling these two territories – both physically and in the psyche. We painted ‘plein-air’ together in the late 90s, sharing the love of landscape and the visceral qualities of paint. The play and tension between figuration and abstraction are seen in different ways in our works.’
Open Tuesday–Saturday, 11am–4pm.

Peter Sheppard Skærved Concert Series
