Kernow Chamber Players will perform sextets by Brahms and Boccherini, the masters of the baroque and romantic periods on Friday 18th August 2023, 7:30 – 9pm.
Boccherini invented the sextet, Brahms might have perfected it; hear music by these giants of the baroque period and the romantic period against the stunning backdrop of Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens.
Performed over two acts with an interval, brief explanations of the context and significance of the works will give everyone the opportunity to deepen their appreciation of classical music and to find out what we can still learn from it today.
The Kernow Chamber Players consists of world-class musicians, who have teamed up with some of Cornwall’s most promising young musicians and was founded in 2021 to bring live music of many different genres to audiences in Cornwall.
This summer enjoy a spectacular evening in a beautiful Cornish garden, listening to inspirational classical music, whilst enjoying fabulous food and drink from Tremenheere Kitchen. Please note, tables must be booked in advance for pre-event dining.
