The Great Pumpkin Hunt: Guarded by a Mythical Beast!

Something mysterious at Tremenheere this half-term…

Hidden somewhere amongst our extraordinary sculptures and winding garden paths is a pumpkin with a very special guardian. Legend has it that a mythical beast is keeping watch nearby, but can you find the pumpkin under its watchful gaze?

Keep your eyes peeled, and let your curiosity lead the way. Find the pumpkin and you’ll be entered into our prize draw!

Your clue: “A mythical beast stands guard nearby. Can you find the pumpkin hiding under its watchful eye?”

Gather your little explorers, put your detective skills to the test and see if you can solve the mystery this half-term!

Visit The Pumpkin Patch

The Shop is getting into the autumn spirit, with pumpkins available to buy throughout the season. Pop in to explore our pumpkin patch and find one to take home for your own autumn decorations or Halloween celebrations.

Whether you’re searching for the perfect pumpkin or setting off on a garden adventure, there’s plenty to spark your imagination at Tremenheere.

Explore the Gardens and Discover the Sculptures

Tremenheere is a place where art, nature and imagination come together. With striking sculptures, winding paths, lush planting and beautiful views across the surrounding landscape, there’s something to catch everyone’s attention.

For children, it’s an opportunity to let curiosity lead the way. Which sculptures spark your imagination? What shapes and textures can you spot? And what might you discover if you take the path a little further? Make sure to grab an activity sheet at the ticket shed upon arrival.

Keep an eye out for the wildlife that calls the gardens home, too. You might spot squirrels, or even a bird of prey.

Warm Up at Tremenheere Kitchen

After a wander through the gardens, make time for a seasonal treat at Tremenheere Kitchen.

Their pumpkin spice lattes are perfect for an autumn day, whether you’re warming up after exploring or taking a moment to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

With coffee, cakes and delicious food on offer, it’s a lovely place to pause and make a day of your visit.

Discover The Olive View at Tremenheere Gallery

There’s more to explore beyond the gardens, too. The Olive View is now open at Tremenheere Gallery, bringing together work by 20 artists in an exhibition celebrating the opening of The Garden of Peace.

Curated by Lisa Wright, the exhibition explores the ideas of peace, connection, resilience and rebirth, inspired by The Olive Network and the olive tree.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to introduce younger visitors to contemporary art and encourage conversations about the different ways artists interpret the world around us.

The exhibition runs until 31 October 2026, with free entry to the Gallery.

Gallery opening hours: Tuesday–Saturday, 11–4. Please note that the Gallery will be closed all day on Tuesday 27 October for a private event.
