We’re delighted to see the James Turrell Skyspace at Tremenheere featured in a newly released live music video marking the return of Mystery Jets with A Hole To See The Sky Through Part 1. Filmed within the Skyspace itself, the performance responds beautifully to the atmosphere and stillness of the work, where light, colour, sound and the changing sky become part of the experience.
Designed by internationally renowned artist James Turrell, the Skyspace at Tremenheere offers visitors a contemplative environment shaped by perception and natural light. The elliptical opening in the roof frames the sky above, encouraging a slower and more attentive experience of time, weather and space.
The live performance by Mystery Jets brings another dimension to the work, allowing music and architecture to interact within the changing conditions of the space itself.
Situated at the highest point of the gardens, the Skyspace has long inspired artists, musicians, writers and visitors alike through its quiet sense of immersion and observation.
We’re very pleased to see this unique setting become part of Mystery Jets’ latest release and thank the band and production team for capturing the atmosphere of the space so thoughtfully.
