17 October – 2 November 2025
This Autumn exhibition is one of Newlyn Society of Artists’ twice-yearly shows at Tremenheere Gallery. Perspectives presents a cross section of members’ work; thought provoking and diverse, there is no house style in the NSA. The visitor can expect to see high-quality artwork reflecting the wide range of practice within the NSA membership, where the nature and challenges of contemporary life can find an artistic voice.
The exhibition’s invigilators are NSA artists, and they will be happy to discuss the work on show and help with any queries about sales. Visitors are invited to vote for their favourite artwork in the exhibition. The winning artist will be awarded the People’s Choice prize.
All are welcome to the Artists Talks on Sun 2 Nov 2 – 3.30pm when a group of participating artists will be at the gallery to talk about the ideas and processes involved in their practice. The winner of the People’s Choice prize will be announced after the talks.
For the duration of the exhibition, Tremenheere Gallery will be open daily, 11am – 4.30pm.
FREE entry – many of the work will be available to purchase.
About Newlyn Society of Artists
Established in the late 19th century by an influential group of Landscape and Social Realist painters, the NSA was originally based in the Newlyn Art Gallery. Still going strong, today the NSA exists as a group of almost 100 professional contemporary artists who live in West Cornwall or have a close connection to it. They work across a range of disciplines from painting and sculpture to installation and moving image. In 2017 the NSA found a new base at Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens. This contemporary gallery is now the venue for their twice-yearly exhibitions.
The NSA is run by an annually elected committee and welcomes new membership applications. Please visit the NSA website for more information about our artists, exhibitions and, if you’d like to join us, details of how to apply.
