About the James Turrell Skyspace
For over half a century, the American artist James Turrell has worked directly with light and space to create artworks that engage viewers with the limits and wonder of human perception. A James Turrell Skyspace is a specifically proportioned chamber, with an aperture in the ceiling open to the sky. Skyspaces can be autonomous structures or integrated into existing architecture.
One of the most unique wedding venues in Cornwall; the James Turrell Skyspace is a small wedding venue like no other. With just five James Turrell Skyspace chambers in the UK, and only ‘Tewlwolow Kernow’ in Cornwall licensed for weddings, nowhere else can you host your special day within an artwork of this kind.

FAQs for the James Turrell Skyspace
A custom-made canvas roof may be placed across the Skyspace ceiling as a wet weather option.
The James Turrell Skyspace is licensed for weddings with up to 48 guests. Additional guests may attend but they must stay outside of the licensed area during the ceremony.
The majority of couples prefer to not have decorations in the Skyspace. Couples do regularly choose to decorate the entranceway.
Following a ceremony in the James Turrell Skyspace you are welcome to have photographs and post-ceremony drinks in the garden.
