INTRODUCING the Artists of Becoming an Object: @will.cruickshank, @jemmaegan, @jessercpollock and @jonathanmichaelray. 27th April – 1st June 2024

An exhibition made up of inspiring work from these four emerging artists from across the country, brought together at #TremenheereGallery to display sculpture born from surprising combinations of material and process with unexpected outcomes.

Thinking about the processes these materials have undergone to become the objects we see today, this exhibition invites viewers to discover how they can experience and relate to contemporary sculpture, and what an embodied act of becoming the object might involve.

The exhibition will be launched with an opening event on Friday 26th April, 6 – 8pm – all welcome to attend, no need to book 🥂

On Monday 6th May 2024 (bank holiday Monday) we’ll be hosting our Charity day in aid of The Wave Project @waveprojectuk.

#TheWaveProject are the UK’s surf therapy charity, with a mission to harness the power of community, surfing and the sea to transform the life chances of children and young people.

The charity improves children’s mental health and wellbeing their award-winning Surf Therapy programme – surf therapy is an evidence-based programme that enables children and young people to build confidence and overcome anxiety barriers through surfing.

They deliver personal surf lessons for people with disabilities who require additional support – this is done through their three specialist Adaptive Surfing Hubs in Cornwall, North Devon and North Yorkshire. They also partner with local schools to offer specialist education programmes to enable pupils to learn outside the classroom, this includes their Beach School, Surf Back to School and Wave Rangers projects. All proceeds from garden ticket sales (both in-person and online) for Monday 6th May will be donated to The Wave Project.

@the_shop_tremenheere will be open all day for your beautiful gifts, ceramics, artwork, jewellery and lots more.

The Takeaway Hut is swinging open its doors to offer that pitstop drink, ice cream cone, barista made coffee, cream tea, cake, pasty, frittata and salad box.

The gallery will be open for its final weekend of @nsanewlyn’s exhibition of ‘Where the Line Breaks’.

@tremenheeresculpturegardens are open from 10:30am - so come and enjoy the beautiful vistas, stunning plants and inspiring installations.

To celebrate there will be a wonderful open day at #Tremenheere including demonstrations and masterclasses from the experts 🌿

You can explore the sculpture gardens, which are open 10.30-5.30 (last entry 4.30). The @the_shop_tremenheere is open all day, 10.30-4.30, and @tremenheerekitchen is open 10-4 to grab a bite to eat.
