The final golden days of autumn in the gardens… ✨

The final golden days of autumn in the gardens… ✨

There is a magic in the gardens right now as the low sun filters through the canopy. But these enchanting views won’t be here for much longer 🍂

We are officially counting down to our annual winter sleep. The gardens will remain open until this Sunday 8th November, before closing our gates for the season to rest and reset.

Before our winter slumber begins, our Locals Offer is running right up until our final day, so wrap up warm, bring your proof of address, and come lose yourself in the changing autumn colours.

Open all weekend, 10 - 4.30, last entry 3.30.

The rest of Tremenheere: Gallery, @tremenheerekitchen, @the_shop_tremenheere & @surreal_succulents will remain open through the winter.

We are honoured to have officially opened the UK’s

We are honoured to have officially opened the UK’s first Garden of Peace at Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens, in the presence of HRH The Duchess of Gloucester.

The inauguration marks an important milestone for The Garden of Peace, an international initiative bringing people and places together through the shared symbolism of the olive tree to promote peace and cooperation.

At the heart of the garden are 21 genetically distinct olive trees, derived from 21 different olive-growing countries. Together, they represent a spirit of unity and international cooperation, while celebrating the diversity of the places they represent.

The Garden of Peace also features new work by artist @abigailreynoldsartist, supported by the @henrymoorefdn_grants.

The opening was accompanied by The Olive View, an exhibition presented in collaboration with the @olive_network (@rogerthorp and Lucy Thorp) and curated by @lisawrightart.

The ceremony included the unveiling of a commemorative plaque by The Duchess of Gloucester. The Duchess was accompanied by the @lordlieutenantcornwall.

A letter from General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the Ukrainian Ambassador to the UK, pledging his support for the initiative, was also read by Cllr Rob Nolan, Chairman of Cornwall Council.

Tremenheere is now part of a growing international network of Gardens of Peace, connecting places across countries through a shared commitment to peace, reflection and understanding.

We hope this special place will offer visitors a lasting space for reflection, connection and a renewed sense of our shared humanity.

With thanks to everyone who helped bring The Garden of Peace to life, and to @laysauctioneers for supporting the project, @tremenheerekitchen for providing canapés and lunch, and @ruthwallharp and the choir led by Vicky Abbott for their musical contributions.

A special thank you to Laura Formentini, Honorary Ambassador to The Garden of Peace, who travelled from Italy to attend the inauguration.
