There are two opportunities this August to see Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens outside of normal opening hours and to experience the James Turrell Skyspace at dusk. Background illumination under lights the ceiling of the Skyspace and provides a subtle contrast with the sky. The shifting balance between the interior and exterior light will provide a contemplative and hypnotic transition. Led by Neil Armstrong, Tremenheere Director.
Dates and Times: Wednesday 8th August, gardens open from 7.45pm and meeting in the James Turrell Skyspace at 8.45pm. Friday 17th August, gardens open from 7.30pm and meeting in the James Turrell Skyspace at 8.30pm. The event goes ahead in all weathers. Please check the weather forecast beforehand, bring wet weather clothing and wear appropriate footwear. Torches are essential; the event will end after sunset and the gardens will be extremely dark.
