A wonderful pick from our Head Gardener Alex who says:

“The magnificent Magnolia laevifolia. A plant of distinction in every department. With attractive evergreen foliage, striking coppery buds and sweetly scented flowers it really earns its place in the garden.

On top of all that, it can be pruned to a manageable shape and with a wide range of cultivars available offering reliable levels of hardiness, there’s every reason to get your hands on one.

Ours are just starting their performance. Find them below the sloping lawn over the coming weeks 🌱”

Exhibition Opening: The Land Will Call You Home 🌿

Join us on Friday 25 April, 5–7pm at #TremenheereGallery for the opening of a powerful new group show curated by @_samuelbassett.

Rooted in Cornwall, this exhibition traces our deep connection to the land - how we come from it, live within it, and return, through works shaped by clay, mineral, memory, and myth, exploring what it means to belong to a place ✨

Why not make it an opening night crawl? Head to @_hweg_, Penzance (6–8pm) afterwards for Christopher P Green & Charlie Duck.

Exhibition runs: 26 April – 13 June 2025
