The exhibition will be open daily from Wednesday 11th March, ending with an auction of all exhibited works on Saturday 14th March from 2pm. All profits from the sale will be donated to Mobile Refugee Support.
Works by 30+ south west artists have been donated to the exhibition and auction, including: David Nash, Philip Sutton, Naomi Frears, Breon O’Casey, Bob Bourne, Margaret Bourne, Lesley Kerman, Graham Rich, Mary Crockett, Joy Elliot, Dave Paton, Jane Ansell, Bo Hilton (image), Karen Foss, Yolanda Armstrong, Debbie Prosser, Billy Burman, Simon Jaques, Margret Steigner, Chris Dyer, Rod Walker, Eleana Fries, Sarah Drew, Una D’Aragona, Tim Ridley, Claire Benson, Janet McEwan, Gilla Evans, Sarah Bovey and Rebecca Turk Richards.
Mobile Refugee Support was established in June 2017 following the destruction of the Calais Jungle and La Linière camp in Grande-Synthe. Since then they have offered mobile aid and support to displaced people living in and around northern France. The organisation is currently based in Calais from where they attempt to target locations that have been neglected by governments and larger charities.
Tremenheere Gallery will be open daily 11am – 4pm for the duration of the exhibition (11th – 14th March). Free entry, donations to Mobile Refugee Support encouraged. The auction will begin on Saturday 14th March shortly after 2pm.
