Charity day in aid of DEC’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal – Sun 3 April

Sunday 3rd April 2022, 10.30am – 4.30pm

On Sunday 3rd April, Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens will be joining the millions of people around the world showing solidarity with the people of Ukraine, by raising funds for DEC’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

At least 3 million people have fled their homes to escape the conflict in Ukraine. Heavy fighting, shelling and air strikes across the country have had devastating consequences for civilians. At Ukraine’s borders with Poland, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Moldova, huge numbers of people are arriving with only with what they can carry. DEC charities and their local partners are in Ukraine and in neighbouring countries providing food, water, shelter and medical assistance.

All garden ticket sales will be donated to the appeal, and there will be other fundraising events taking place throughout the day – see some of the day’s line up listed below.

We know many of you are looking for ways to help raise essential funds and we are eager to collaborate with people who wish to participate in the event. We would especially like to hear from any Ukrainians living locally who would like to get involved. If you have ideas or ways of raising vital funds and are in need of an audience and a venue, get in touch by emailing Ali Braybrooks on [email protected] or by telephoning 01736 448089 (ex1).
