Join us on Sunday 6th October for our biannual charity day, this time raising money for the Cornwall Samaritans at Truro, who are fundraising for their urgent appeal to raise funds in order to relocate to a different site within Cornwall – to be more accessible for its volunteers and beneficiaries, helping the charity to reach even more people that needs its services in the Duchy.
All proceeds raised on the day from garden ticket sales will be donated to this excellent cause (except season tickets). Normal garden opening hours and admission prices apply.
Helping those in distress, Samaritans of Cornwall at Truro’s volunteers travel the breadth of the county, listening to those who need them at locations such as Penzance train station; they also raise awareness through talks to organisations such as Rotaries, WIs, Young Farmers and schools.
As an independent charity, Samaritans of Cornwall at Truro must raise over £90,000 each year to operate, alongside a further £140,000 currently needed to reach its target to relocate; so the charity is delighted that Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens is the latest in a range of organisations choosing to support them.
